Trigger Pull: What you would expect from a blowback pistol with true single action capability. It's nice and light with a short take-up in single action. Also decent when shooting in double action, which for the most part you will not be doing since the blowback pre-cocks the hammer for single action shooting.

Build Quality: Very good. Pretty much an all metal construction, with good weight and craftsmanship. Slide wiggle is minimal, and the fit and finish is good. As with many of the KWC airguns that use an electromagnetic powder coating, the finish looks great but it's thin so it does wear off on the high posts and where metal on metal movement takes place.

Realism: Compared to the real steel Sig Sauer X-Five, the KWC version is pretty close. It does have a different-looking slide in terms of the grooves or slide serrations, and there is no official licensing on the KWC version. You also do not get the ugly white warning instructions so there is a trade off here, and the KWC version also comes with a fully adjustable rear sight which is nice if your aim point is off a bit. Overall, the KWC SP226-S5 CO2 Blowback Pistol is super realistic with its full blowback operation, full size drop out metal magazine, and ability to field strip just like the real steel Sig Sauer P226.

  • Accurate X-Five replica without the licensing or white warning instructions
  • All metal construction feels solid and gives gun good weight
  • Adjustable rear sight for windage and elevation
  • Firm blowback action adds to shooting realism
  • Shoots in both single and double action with a smooth and light trigger pull
  • High capacity full metal drop out metal magazine
  • Fully field-strippable like the real steel Sig Sauer P226

  • Finish is prone to wear on the high spots and metal on metal areas
  • FPS and CO2 sacrificed for heavy blowback action

Comments: This BB pistol is styled after the modern Sig Sauer P226 X-Five. It is a very hefty gun made almost entirely from metal and has a very snappy blowback action which adds to its shooting realism. Even the magazine looks and feels like a real magazine with its similar weight and dimensions. The gun shoots fairly accurately and has fairly decent power considering its blowback function, which does result in heavy CO2 usage. I was able to get about 3 magazines out of a CO2 cartridge. This is one of my favourite airguns because its so true to form and function. If you're a Sig Sauer fan like me, and require a solid useable pistol for gaming or just plinking, the KWC SP226-S5 should do the job well and at a very reasonable price point.

Great pistol!

Bought this from Replica Airguns and am very happy with it so far. Looks great, feels and handles like the real thing, other than having a safety instead of a decocker. CO2 use is about what you'd expect, about 2 full magazines per cylinder. I have two main complaints, the first being that there is no clear indication where the trigger breaks, it feels the same all the way until it fires. My second complaint is that the magazines fit slighty loose in the magazine well and can rattle just a little bit. This is the case with the magazine that came with the pistol and the spare magazine I bought with it. All in all though, an excellent and very fun gun! *Edit* a few months later, I still love this pistol, however I have discovered that the safety will often fail and allow the hammer to drop when cocked when the safety is on and the trigger is pulled. DO NOT rely on the safety on this pistol, or, more importantly, on ANY gun. Other than that I still love the gun :)

So many BB's fired...

So I have this pistol's cousin, the X-Five with the sight rail (but this one is on sale this week so I figured I'd drop a review here) and all I can say is that I've put more rounds out of this pistol than all my others combined. It kicks like the real steel (I literally compared them side by side and even let the range master shuffle them around with my back turned to see if I could tell the difference when picking one or the other up - I couldn't), sights are great, you can strip it down completely and effortlessly, and the trigger weight is right on point to where it should be. It's not the cheapest gun on the planet, but if you can put up the cash then it's a VERY worthy investment if for no other reason than to use for target practice. (I do suggest a spare mag or two if you get it and really fall in love with it)

Great gun

Just got this a few days ago and am impressed. Lots of weight and accurate. Quality is outstanding. Goes through the CO2 but worth it. I load 15 bb's into it each time and it works great for three then the fourth is kind of weak. Not the easiest magazine I have to load but no big deal. I wasn't expecting adjustable sights and it came with them so that is a bonus. Great gun for $125 CDN. I think it just took over from my Tanfoglio Witness as my favourite. Buy one you will like it.

Amazing gun

I Purchased the KWC .177 adjustable sight bb version and the blow black is amazing. Much more kick than any real 22 puts out. f a real gun feel with all meal construction not to mention heavy weight and one of the strongest blow backs is your goal, then this is your gun.Well worth the money.

Sig Fan's Dream

Being in love with guns but never wanting to jump through the hoops to own a real firearm in Canada, I was always desperately searching for a cool blowback bb gun that looked like a sig sauer p226. i came here and saw this beauty and picked it up. super fast shipping, straight into my hand 3 days later and I am impressed. That was 3 years ago!!! and I STILL FEEL THE SAME WAY ABOUT IT. after years of excessive use it has become worn esthetically. I am writing a review because im picking up my second right now.
