Terrific replica - if not a bit pricy

Well, I had money to burn on this one (Kinda regretting that considering the Corona crisis now on us all .. one month after I bought the gun) but it is what it is. And this gun is certainly a nice faithful recreation of the gun from Resident Evil 2 (Remake). So how is it? Well .. It's pretty much as you'd expect .. if you've ever handled any other desert eagle Airsoft gun it's pretty similar in size and design. With full blowback action and all that. It's a good powerful straight shooter as well. Sadly the 10 inch barrel doesn't really do anything to make it more accurate .. but it looks good. At the end of the day this is for enthusiasts of the game. A regular Desert Eagle Airsoft gun will be cheaper and probably perform the same. I have no way to take measurements of it's accuracy or power or to compare them to other makes but I'm assured Tokyo Marui don't screw around when it comes to quality. So I'll have to take the shops word for that. But I can say it shoots nice and straight. So I'll mention the negatives first. I REALLY wish this had been made fully out of metal. Instead it's rather a plasticy polymer shell which lets down the build quality a little. It looks good, and is fairly sturdy .. but when you're shelling out almost a thousand big ones (CAD for me) .. well you'd expect full metal. I also bought a KJW 09 which IS full metal and is surperb (actually much better value for money). BUT ... as I previously stated this is more a replica for people who want to cos-play some RE:2 whilst they airsoft. And for that it does well .. I doubt this gun is going to fall apart on you during target practise or on the airsoft range .. it's definitely well built. The very cool thing about it the inclusion of both 6 inch and 10 inch barrels. I prefer the 6 inch myself as the gun looks best like this. But it's nice to have both. The box is very cool (also a replica from the game). Overall it's a nice airsoft gun, well made, accurate and powerful. I'm only knocking it down a star because of the plastic build rather than a nice metal .. and for this price I would have preferred that. So if you've got the money to spend and you're a fan of the game I'd say go ahead .. I don't think you'll regret it. But if you're worried about cost effectiveness .. seriously .. consider the KJW 09 .. which is an awesome gun with similar accuracy and feels great in the hand. It's a nice job .. but $500-600 (CAD) would have been more on the button. But I have it now so I'm gonna enjoy it anyways. Oh yeah .. and do pick up the game .. it's also very cool (and to be honest I bought the game BECAUSE of the gun :P).
