Trigger Pull: It's what you would expect from a pistol of this design. Like the Colt Single Action Army, the trigger pull is very short, light and crisp. Perfect for taking your time and getting a precise shot on target. You will have to cock the hammer manually before each shot, so no real action shooting.

Accuracy: I first shot 3 rounds of BBs averaging 369 FPS. I then loaded up with .177 caliber lead pellets and got a similar 361 FPS average. Both rounds performed about the same shooting at my paper target 30 feet away. I found the Schofield shot fairly close to the bullseye, but with both the steel BBs and lead pellets I got one outlier that spread out my groupings significantly. The other 5 rounds were all close, being about 2 inches apart. Perhaps it was a bad or misshaped round, or maybe even me ;). I did notice the lead pellets had a nice 4 round group out of the 6 that all fell within the bullseye. Hard to say if BBs or pellets performed better than the other in my testing.

Build Quality: The Schofield No. 3 is built like the Webley MKVI line. Perhaps even made in the same factory in Taiwan? The Schofield No. 3 Revolver is pretty much all metal construction other than the plastic grips and any internal seals. The fit and finish is excellent with a great overall weight in the hand. The pistol grips are a lot like the Colt Single Action Army's, but the Schofield's a lot more front end heavy because of its beefy barrel.

Realism: In terms of replicating a real steel Schofield No. 3, this BB/pellet revolver sure looks and feels the part. The recessed barrel and hidden CO2 screw don’t give anything away that this airgun version is not the real deal. But as with all shell-loading airgun revolvers, the shells are actually closer to a .380 caliber in diameter rather than a .45, which is what the real steel Schofield would be designed to have.

Pros:

  • Full metal receiver with polymer faux wood grips
  • Faithful replica of the classic 1875 S&W No. 3 Schofield Revolver
  • Top break design makes reloading easy
  • Fits into standard revolver gunbelts and holsters

Cons:

  • No rail mounts for accessories
  • Low ammo capacity means more reloading time

Comments: Yet another classic shell-loading CO2 BB revolver, the more the merrier in my opinion! The Schofield No. 3 is a hefty revolver, but the pistol grip is not super large so even people with smaller hands shouldn't have a problem shooting. The real problem is deciding which shell-loading airgun revolver to buy now since we have so many to choose from… Classic or modern, nickel or black, or perhaps weathered? Overall, the revolver shot well for me. The trigger is nice, short and light, making shot-placing easy. Because of its single action only trigger, you need to reset between every shot, which can affect groupings. Since the barrel isn't rifled, you can shoot whatever ammo type you feel like shooting with no danger of damaging the rifling.

Must have for cowboy action collection

I recently purchased the 7" barrel worn version from Barra. I definitely give this a 10/10 for realism, it is a hefty gun, like holding the real thing, the fake wear is a nice touch. The wood pattern on the grips look nice, though the plastic is a bit slippery, I might make a set of real wood grips later. It is listed on this site as BB and pellet, the gun only comes with the BB shells, I will be looking to get the pellet shells later on. I haven't gotten the opportunity to really test the accuracy, so far pretty good from shooting targets in my basement, roughly 10 - 15 ft.

Great Revolver

Very realistic and not a bad shooter overall l have to do say weight , feel , and looks are about the best I've seen I showed it off to some of the gun club members and they were impressed with a pellet/BB gun Only issue I have with it is no pellet cartridges and they are very hard to find. But I did find a good deal on amazon

Big beasty gun

Received the Barra instead of the Bear River model. Only bb shells come with this one. The upside however is the Barra comes in a nice box. The warnings on the Barra are subtle tucked under the barrel which is nice. Accuracy rating was a guess as I haven't shot it yet. This a hefty beast of a gun. Great detail and very solid. I recommend this bigtime Its a little piece of history!

Fantastic Replica!

I bought this gun about 6 weeks ago from Replica Airguns. I absolutely love this gun! The Schofield is accurate, decently loud which gives you a more "real" feeling well shooting. The price point isn't bad for this well-built, realistic, and fairly accurate gun. I've been shooting at about 36' to 40' and hit the targets 9 times out of 10. I've bought a couple of guns recently from Replica Airguns and they've been extremely easy to buy from. The delivery was quick and on point. I highly recommend this gun for anyone who shares an interest in airguns especially replica's. Cheers Lee

Great

Great item. Great site with easy navigation, clear info available in various layers, mostly sensible pricing. However, if you review your two videos on the Schofield, I believe you will find two instances where you mention that the demonstrator you received had only BB rounds and that you specify that the actual product you ship will have *both* BB *and* pellet rounds. I have not received the pellet rounds.

Really realistic

I haven't had a chance to fire gun as yet but the look ,feel &construction quality are top notch. At my advanced age I have gone to air guns. to keep up with target shooting . Very pleased with the quality available today...I will have to assume the accuracy will compare with the others I have purchased..

Excellent gun for backyard target practice

Very solid, safe gun for my 16 & 17 year old western movie fans. This gun survived a drop on a hardwood floor, and still shoots straight and powerful. Love how quick & easy it is to load, even for a lefty, and that you can keep the safety on while loading (unlike most other six shooters. I was also very impressed with the level of customer service Elvis provided in answering my many questions, and the gun arrived a few days earlier than expected.
