Type: Airsoft Pistol.
Manufacturer: Distributed by Umarex.
Model: Ruger P345.
Materials: Mostly plastic with some internal metal parts.
Weight: 1.7 pounds (771 grams).
Total Length: 8.25 inches (21cm).
Barrel: 5 inch barrel (12.7cm) smooth bore.
Propulsion: 12 gram CO2.
Action: Semi auto NBB, DAO trigger.
Ammunition Type: 6mm Plastic Airsoft BB's.
Ammunition Capacity: 15 round drop out metal stick magazine.
FPS: Claimed 380 BB weight dependent.

Trigger Pull: The trigger pull on the Umarex Ruger P345 CO2 NBB Airsoft Pistol is typical of most entry-level double-action-only Airsoft pistols, where the trigger has to do all the work. That includes pulling back the fairly stiff internal hammer spring, in this case, the barrel itself, which sticks slightly out of the front until the break point, where it snaps back, hits the valve, and fires the BB. If you’re rapid-firing and running through the 15-round magazine, expect a decent finger workout.

Accuracy: We haven’t field-tested the Umarex Ruger P345 CO2 NBB Airsoft Pistol yet, but we will be making a Shooting Review Video next week, so stay tuned for that. Performance-wise, we expect it to be right in line with other Airsoft/BB pistols that share the same internal design, just dressed up in a slightly different shell. It should hit close to the advertised 380 fps using .20 gram Airsoft BB’s and group within about 2–3 inches, unless, of course, we are having an off day.

Build Quality: The build quality is what you’d expect from a lightweight polymer Airsoft pistol in this price range. It’s not super heavy, but it does seem like Umarex has added some internal metal to add weight as it is heavier than most Airguns built in this style. The fit and finish are solid overall. One common complaint with pistols with grip panels that extend back to load the CO2, is that the grip panels can feel loose and pop off when loading CO2. The sliding grips are not too lose and while shooting will not go anywhere but in a holster and exposed it could open up so be a bit careful in this situation.

Realism: The Umarex Ruger P345 CO2 NBB Airsoft Pistol is a fully licensed replica of the real-steel Ruger P345 and does look the part until you get up close to it. The added weight adds to the realism also but for the most part it is an almost all external plastic moulded Airsoft gun, with not a lot of actual working parts other than the trigger, magazine release and the safety, on top of that the screws holding it together in places, takes away from the realism and of course there is the orange tip which is another give away.

Pros:

  • It is a fully licensed Replica of a real steel Ruger P345 via Umarex.
  • Is fairly heavy for this style of Airgun, most are just all plastic, this one must have some internal metal strategically placed in it to add additional weight.
  • Decent claimed FPS rating of 380 using .20 gram Airsoft BB’s.
  • Non-blowback should get lots of shots per CO2.
  • Picatinny rail on frame for adding on accessories.
  • Easy to line up fiber optic front and rear sights.
  • Double action trigger pull is long but not too overly heavy.
  • Can use a generic all metal stick magazines commonly found on lower cost similar Airguns.
  • Simple design with not a lot of moving parts will make it reliable for a long time.
  • Really low initial cost and cheap to shoot.

Cons:

  • All plastic gun for the most part, but has what seems to be added metal inside.
  • Not many working parts, mostly all molded plastic Airgun.
  • Not going to be your fastest action shooter with the longer heavier trigger.

Comments: For this type of low cost simple design non blowback Airsoft gun, the Umarex Ruger P345 CO2 NBB Airsoft Pistol does stand out a bit more than most as it is a lot heavier which makes it feel in the hand like you may be holding a legit gun. There are also a lot less of those tell tale left side screws as the slide is a separate sold piece and the butt plate also hides the CO2 screw nicely which adds to the realism overall. The addition of fiber optic sights front and back is something extra not often found on Airguns in this lower price point and will really help with target acquisition in most shooting situations. We would say for this type of basic Airgun, you get more than most for at least the same if not a lower purchase price.

Just A classic!

The BEST NON-BLOWBACK AIRSOFT PISTOL FROM UMAREX LICENSED BY RUGER THEMSELVES. Everything from power, gas mileage, accuracy, recoil, and speed plus a sturdy build to the gun being a non-blowback makes this gun excellent that I just had to get 2.

Arguebly the best gun for the Money.

When I bought this pistol, I doubted myself. I really thought it was an ok buy. But when I got it, my opinion completely changed. The pistol feels hefty, the weight doesn't feel at all like a budget gun, the grip is comfortable in the hand and it has a really good grip. the magazine feeds well, holds well, and the magazine also has a feature called "magazine disconnect" where the magazine locks in but not fully in, so the magazine doesn't feed bbs into the gun 2ndary safety almost. The magazines are also made of metal as well. Even though it's made from polymer, the gun doesn't creak when squeezed and nothing bends. The trigger feels smooth even though the trigger pull is slightly long, to be expected with a double-action pistol. The iron sights are really well done, the standout and the dots are very eyecatching when aiming. The slide on the grip to store the co2 tank doesn't shake or feels like it's slipping out of position. Also, the gun is fast and accurate for a sub 100 gun. You can hit a 1x1 foot area. Even though this gun doesn't have an adjustable hop-up, the factory hop-up is pretty good. Overall, a really good buy for the money, maybe if you are a beginner looking for a gun or a veteran looking for a beater pistol or a replacement secondary.

Great little gun for the money

When the gun arrived in a clear blister pack, I was a bit concerned, and when I first held it I thought it felt light. Then I reminded myself that I’d only paid $60.00 Canadian for it and checked my attitude. The next day I was able to load it up and fire off 50 6mm rounds or so - and what a surprise! For a light gun with no blow back it was pretty good! I bought it cause I miss my real Ruger SR 22 which i had to leave behind at my home in Texas. This gun makes a simple addition to my collection here and is a fun way to keep in practice. Great service and delivery from replicaairguns.com. Thanks guys!

Good Value!

For the price you pay (which is fairly cheap) you get a well rounded gun with very nice sights. It's quite co2 efficient so it doesn't rip through tanks. For accuracy I can't really say either way because I don't think I'm a great shooter, but what I can say is that as a beginner in airsoft I'm quite happy with how it shoots. The grip cover for the co2 is not bad (again for the price), I've seen others that are much more fidgety.
