Comments: ASG is a licensed manufacturer of DS Arms replica airsoft guns, an internationally recognized expert in small arms. The Proline DSA SA-58 OSW Airsoft Rifle illustrates why the DS name has achieved its legendary status. The OSW model boasts a folding skeleton, ambidextrous mag release and a full metal construction. ASG added some of its own flare to the replica as well, including a 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel, high capacity mag and easily accessible hop-up unit. This all adds up to an accurate and devastating airsoft gun. For maximum damage, we recommend 0.20g BBs or heavier. Batteries and chargers not included.
This gun just arrived in the mail so these are only my first impressions, but so far I'm pretty impressed. Right out of the box, with iron sights, it's very accurate and mine required no adjustment. I was a bit skeptical of the orange tip but was pleasantly surprised to find that it comes with a spare metal flash hider in the box. Of course, the orange one is glued and screwed on so if you want to change it out, you'll have to cut it off, which voids your warranty. The body is almost all metal so it has a decent heft to it. It feels very solid and nothing rattles when you're moving. The biggest con for me is that I feel this gun is overpriced. The same model costs less than $300 in the US, so $350 to $375 Canadian is all it should really be worth. Also, the FAL platform isn't all that popular, so you may have a difficult time finding magazines and other accessories. Still, if you're in the market for a FAL carbine, this one is a great choice.
