Trigger Pull: Single action only so you will need to rack the slide first to not only chamber a BB in the breach area but to also cock the internal striker. There is a working trigger safety and you’ll also find the Glock 17 Gen 4 has a nice, short, and light trigger similar to the real steel Glock. Perfect for fast action shooting!

Accuracy: Umarex claims around 300 FPS but I was able to get a little higher with my 5 shots through the chronograph, averaging 310 FPS. I was able to get around a 3.5 inch grouping but I feel I could've done better since several rounds actually shot one on top of the other. The Umarex Glock 17 4th Gen did shoot a little low and to the left but not a lot.

Build Quality: The Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4 looks to be well-made with metal and plastic parts where you would find them on a real steel G17 Gen 4. Fit and finish are nice and the slide wiggle is next to zero. The slide spring is very heavy and the sound of the slide when racked and released doesn't have that cheap metallic sound some blowback airguns have.

Realism: Umarex's replica 100% looks the part of a Glock 17 4th Generation Gun. Sitting on the table and even holding it in your hand you are going to think it's the real deal until you drop the magazine and see that it is a BB/CO2 mag. Mostly everything operates like a real Glock 17 including the slide catch release, trigger safety, magazine release, and even the take down switches for quick field stripping and access to the adjustable hop-up.

Pros:

  • Good weight and feel, build quality seems very good
  • Really nice looking and full featured replica of the original Glock 17 Gen 4
  • Fully Glock licensed through Umarex
  • Easily visible front and rear white dot sights
  • Recessed barrel for added realism
  • Accessory rail for adding a laser or tactical light
  • Full size drop out metal magazine holds CO2 and 18 rounds of BBs
  • Heavy slide spring should have a heavy blowback recoil effect
  • Safety built into the serial number plate area keeps it well hidden
  • Additional backstraps for different-sized hands
  • Discreet warning instruction under trigger guard
  • Great feeling single action only trigger

Cons:

  • FPS could be higher
  • Sights are non-adjustable
  • Would have liked to have seen more pristine packaging from Glock

Comments: I know everyone has been waiting for Umarex to release the Glock 17 Gen 4 BB Pistol and here it is finally. I really like the trigger on the G17 Gen 4. It’s short and light, perfect for shot placement and action shooting. The blowback action is nice and crisp, giving the Glock just enough blowback recoil effect. I didn't have any issues with the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4, which makes for the best testing out of all the Umarex Glocks to date. The Glock 17 4th Gen CO2 BB Pistol is by far my favorite version! If you already have an Umarex Glock, that’s OK get this one too, you won’t be disappointed. If you haven’t bought one of the Umarex Glocks so far then this one is the one to have, but I say why not have them all :)

Perfect replica

I will just say its not easy to find the differences between this and my real glock 17. The weight, and quality are perfect. Shoots well and it fun. I use it for holster training in Canada where I cant have my real one with me outside of a range.

Nice looking replica, not the best shooter

The gun itself is beautiful, and for someone who has always wanted a "Glock", this fits the bill. The gun shoots and feeds well, however out of the box it shot very right of centre, and the didn't group as well as my other pistols. Using Black Diamond bbs helps to tighten up the groupings. And although the sight's are "technically" non-adjustable, the rear sight CAN be adjusted by loosening the screw (underside of the slide), and then removing the nut from the rear sight. This then allows the sight to slide left and right, and then you can tighten it down by tightening up the underside screw again which friction locks the sight into place (rather than it actually threading into the now removed nut). The pistol shoots fairly well center now. Overall, this isn't the best shooter or best value, but if you really need a "Glock", it fits that bill.

Looks great - needs improvement

This is, by far, one of the most realistic Glock 17 replicas on the market. Sitting on a table - it’s virtually indistinguishable from its real steel counterpart. A heavy spring provides a crisp blowback action and rids the slide of any noticeable wiggle or ‘clanking’. The positive comments will unfortunately end there. The model I have purchased appears to be riddled with quality issues. The finish on the slide already shows significant wear and blemishes despite being gingerly treated since its arrival. After a mere 40 shots with Hornady Black Diamond Steel 4.5mm BBs, it is now seized and refuses to cycle an entire round without jamming. The BBs appear to get stuck in the receiver upon firing. I have attempted to oil and field strip the affected area, to no avail. As of right now, my new Umarex Glock 17 Gen 4 replica is a nice paperweight. Quality and durable air gun, it is not. Too bad.
