Customer Reviews for Browning Hi Power CO2 Airsoft gun

Brand: Umarex Canada

Barrel: 4.5 inches, metal smooth bore
Propulsion: 12 gram CO2 x 1
Action: Semi-auto, single and double action
Ammunition Type: 6mm steel BB's
Ammunition Capacity: 18-shot full size drop out magazine

Trigger Mechanism: The trigger resistance on the Umarex Browning Hi-Power Mark III is manageable, though it increases slightly when the magazine is fully loaded due to the initial phase of the trigger action chambering a BB, applicable in both single and double action modes. The trigger action feels smoother in single-action firing but presents some initial resistance. Overall, the trigger pull is of a moderate level, and as demonstrated by my shooting performance, it did not detrimentally impact accuracy.

Shooting Precision: Remarkably accurate for an airsoft gun, I managed a tight 1-inch grouping of 7 shots from 20 feet away using a semi-supported stance and open sights. Engaging in rapid double-action fire without support, I achieved a commendable 2.5-inch spread over an additional 36 shots. The FPS rate for the Umarex Browning Hi-Power Mark III fell slightly short of its stated performance, averaging 369 fps over 8 shots, a common variance among airguns. Despite this, the gun consistently exceeded 100 shots per CO2 cartridge, though I would have preferred a slight sacrifice in shot count for increased power.

Manufacturing Quality: An increase in metal components and functional features would have been appreciated for this air pistol replica. As it stands, its construction is predominantly plastic, resulting in a lightweight, yet the overall assembly and finish quality are satisfactory, suggesting the gun will maintain functionality and durability over time.

Authenticity: Licensed as a replica of the real Browning Hi-Power Mark III semi-automatic pistol, it closely matches the original in appearance. A notable design feature is the absence of external screw holes, common in many plastic airsoft pistols, enhancing its realism. The replica includes a functional ambidextrous safety and magazine release, mimicking the actual Browning Hi-Power Mark III. However, the airsoft version's mere .92-pound weight significantly detracts from its authenticity, feeling less substantial in hand. An all-metal construction with a working slide would have greatly improved its realism, and I would have been willing to pay more for such enhancements.

Pros:

  • Lacks external screw holes, reducing its appearance as an airgun.
  • Despite its lightweight, it feels solidly built.
  • Affordably priced with commendable assembly and finish.
  • Features metal trigger and hammer.
  • Delivers excellent accuracy and satisfactory power.
  • Equipped with a full-size, easily loaded magazine.
  • Accurate reproduction of the Browning Hi-Power Mark III.
  • Offers both single and double-action trigger functionality.

Cons:

  • Predominantly plastic build contributes to a lighter feel.
  • Absence of a functioning slide.
  • Power could be slightly increased, even at the cost of reduced CO2 efficiency.
  • Sights lack white dot markings for enhanced visibility.

Comments:

The Umarex Browning Hi-Power Mark III Airsoft pistol stands out as a highly credible replica of the genuine Browning Hi-Power Mark III, especially in appearance. The feel of the pistol, due to its plastic composition and lighter weight, quickly distinguishes it from the actual firearm. Setting aside the material considerations, the Browning Hi-Power Mark III impresses with its shooting accuracy, the convenience of its full-sized metal magazine, and the absence of side screw holes, elevating it above many other plastic and some metal BB guns in terms of aesthetics. This model presents a solid overall replication, and notable accuracy, and is uniquely available as a Browning Hi-Power airgun variant.

Best NBB

This is my favorite non blowback airsoft pistol I've ever owned.Pros- feels amazing in your hand, amazing accuracy, able to pull the hammer back to shorten the trigger pull by about 80% making an even more accurate shot.M1911 lovers just haven't held a hi-power before.Cons- plastic build, nob on the bottom of the mag to tighten co2, kind of dislike the sight of something protruding out of the bottom of the mag.
