Trigger Mechanics: The KWC P-08 Luger CO2 Blowback BB Pistol features an excellent Single Action Only trigger system. The trigger pull is notably short and smooth, leading to a light release without a noticeable reset, enhancing the speed and consistency of subsequent shots. As it's single-action without an external hammer, manual toggling is needed to chamber the initial BB and cock the hammer. Follow-up shots are automatically set up by the blowback mechanism until the magazine empties, triggering the toggle to lock back.

Shooting Precision: The KWC P-08 Luger tended to fire slightly above my aiming point, around 3 inches higher at a distance of 30 feet. Given the fixed sights, I had to adjust my aim lower. The pistol's horizontal accuracy was commendable. My 10-shot test resulted in most shots within a 1-inch radius, though a few outliers expanded the spread to about 2.5 inches.

Construction Quality: The KWC P-08 Luger is predominantly metallic, contributing to its substantial weight of 1.84 pounds, closely resembling the original Luger's 1.92 pounds. The grips and gas tube incorporate plastic. The pistol's finish is powder-coated, typical of KWC firearms, offering an impressive look but subject to wear in areas of friction.

Authenticity: The KWC P-08 Luger excels as a precise replica of the real Luger P-08, mirroring its operational mechanisms and field-stripping ability. The finish color, however, is a bit darker than ideal, deviating slightly from the real Luger's blued finish.

Pros:

  • Robust blowback toggle action with a locking feature after the last round.
  • Hefty metal construction, mirroring the actual Luger's weight.
  • Satisfactory power and shot precision.
  • Accurately replicates the real Luger P-08, including functioning components.
  • Exceptionally short and responsive single-action trigger.
  • Can be disassembled like the original.

Cons:

  • Paint on high-contact areas tends to wear, a known characteristic of KWC models.
  • Sights are fixed and positioned slightly high.
  • The dark black paint finish could be more authentic with a gray or blue shade.

Comments:

The KWC P-08 Luger represents another excellent addition to KWC's range of classic, hyper-realistic pistols. It's exciting to witness the increasing availability of these iconic models from various makers. While the Umarex version was a solid metal replica of the Luger, KWC elevates the experience with added blowback and a metal magazine for CO2 and BBs. For enthusiasts of the Luger seeking utmost authenticity, the KWC P-08 Luger is the top choice.

Great value with high quality P08

Very impressed with this purchase . The sale price makes it an even better value. Feels very nice in the hand and it is solid. I haven't fired it yet so not sure of its accuracy. By far the best P08 I have seen. The handles are a little light and could be more solid but all in all not bad.

KWC P08 4.5 BB

Very accurate copy of a P08. Looks real and no seam lines on grip and trigger guard. Feel with blow back is awesome. Only negatives are not overly accurate I find and goes through a co2 cylinder in just over 2 clips 45-50 BBs thats why only 4 stars. I knew this going in but bought this more as a display piece and the blow back is a blast and for those reasons this is a great if not the best P08 replica.

Realistic

The gun looks ,feels and fired like the real thing. But only worked for 10 clip loads.I think it may be the clip. Shoots about 3 bbs then is out of air.

so cool...

I just had to get one of these for the cool factor alone , however since I have heardthat they can be brittle I have decided to just keep it as a collector piece and I haven't shot it yet.so it will just be kept in mint condition in the box.

Review may change in time

As of right now this is not a good air gun. Although very good replica. Either I have a lemon but this pistol is very picky of which Co2 you use. Have had jamming issues because of poor cycling of the toggle. Very possible this is a Co2 issue. My review may change as I try to find the right combo and break in of this pistol.

KWC P08 reliability

This pistol looked good and performed well for the first 12 CO2 bulbs, then went auto almost every time you squeezed the trigger. I don't shoot it because of this lack of control. QC is definitely an issue. Make a nice but expensive paper weight. Buy this if you desire auto action.

Expensive toy.

Looks like the original, but the lasting ability is questionable.Enjoyed shooting while it lasted. After 10- CO2 cylinders about 500 BB'sthe toggle has developed a hair line crack probably from the toggle slamming togetheron blowback. Creates a safety issue. Then again is it made of what I call white metal.Friends tell me the Umarex Legends is not any better.Without prejudice.

Amazing reproduction but brittle

I have always been a fan of the Luger P08, so I jumped at this repro. I was not disappointed at first; it looks and acts just like the real thing in every detail right down to field stripping details. I will give KWC full credits for realism.But. After about 200 rounds (two weeks) it started double-shooting. The trigger lockout system just wasn't working because the metal in the trigger system was just wearing out. I tried to adjust it with limited success, but the dry-firing in the meanwhile made the cheap pot-metal frame construction break from the striker hitting it with the magazine missing making the whole gun useless. I considered buying another just to reuse the magazine, but then the loader button on the magazine itself also broke off, so the magazine itself became useless.Bottom line: this is a wall decoration. It's a really pretty piece, but when you buy it, fire it rarely, and never fire it dry and it will probably serve you well. But use something else for plinking.

AMAZING REPLICA

Everything I hoped for of in terms of a working replica. Super complicated with tight tolerances, That alone is worth the price of purchase. The reason for 3 stars, is it has difficulty staying in semi-auto, and may unexpectedly fire fully auto. Sear alignment and spring tension needs 'massaging' out of the box. Pot metal internals are brittle and the P/N Z28 'hammer catch may break while adjusting the firing pin spring. This is replaceable with good hands, a machine shop, eye protection, unlimited patience, and some old saxophone parts. Heck, while you've got it open, take a moment and wet sand the externals to give it the distressed look of your dreams!Good accuracy!
