Nice gun and bolt action, but shoots doubles

Not sure if it's just my piece that is defective, but I will load 15 BB's (Crosman Black Widow .177 cal) yet after 8 shots, the mag is empty. Shooting at a 10 yard distance. Feel and weight of the gun is very nice, solid, except for the "wood" piece between the bolt and muzzle - it wiggles a bit. The bolt action feels great and shooting is also fun, but I hope there is a way to resolve the double fire.

Fun, accurate, great replica, eats gas

I got the real wood version and visually the rifle is a real joy -- a great replica that feels very good in the hand. Min came sighted almost perfectly shooting tiny groups on the bull. I'm very impressed -- this is more accuracy than I expected. There are some downsides but they are totally worth it. First the magazine follower came very sticky and was difficult to draw down far enough to feed in BBs. This is easing up though I had to force the follower down against a wooden post the first few times. Now it seems solid and once loaded it feeds perfectly every time. In general the machining seems to be to very tight tolerances (a good thing!) but this means that the CO2 cart gets stuck on the puncturing pin and needs a little bang on the palm of your hand to release the empty cart. Finally, it eats up the gas which is not helped by the fact that you need to count shots or listen carefully -- the slide does not hold back on an empty mag so you may waste a few bursts of gas before you realize you are empty. I get two mags at nearly full velocity before it starts to slack off and I can get most of the third out adequately. Buy many carts. Overall this gun was well worth the money and am looking forward to more plinking so tightly on target. Beer cans beware.

Sweet little rifle

Got this from my sons for the my birthday. Mine is the faux wood and it looks great.The top panel panel seems loose but doesn't appear to be in danger of falling off. It shoots great and has awesome blowback. The ghost ring sites take getting used to but I was still nailing pop cans and drop apples at 30 feet. I gave quality a 4 .This was due to some wear in the breech area .That being said this is still a great gun and a piece of history. I definitely recommend it.

I've always wanted to own a M1 carbine but I don't have a licence to have a real one so this is the next best thing. It is not as heavy as a M1 Garand airsoft rifle and is also smaller. The magazine holds 18 4.5 mm or .177 metal bbs. I am able to shoot accurately hitting the target from 30 feet. I am able to get at least 3 full magazines to shoot with one CO2 cartridge. I checked the speed of the bbs and found it to be between 432 to 418 fps for an average of 425 fps as advertised on the box. The speed is faster than the airsoft rifles that I own. Overall I am quite satisfied that I made this purchsase.

Looks awesome, doesn't last.

It looks and feels awesome. Doesn't sound amazing. Accuracy top notch. It worked great for a month. The magazine that came with it broke. Second one I got works fine but, the gun itself lost ability to function properly. Blow back is inconsistent and I have to cock it every shot. Generally very leaky and in consistent firing rate. Even though it has multiple issues it still has great accuracy at low velocity. Brand new, it was the best air rifle I ever had but be ready to do above and beyond maintenance.

what a rilfe!

wow that was my first thought when i opened my box to my brand new m-1 carbine (ww2) i got the wood stock version and it is out standing quality ! all metal and wood gives you that true ww2 marine core feeling as close to history as most of us will ever get this rifle is a buy worth your hard earned money ! the clip is not that great ..mine leaks out of the box but you can get spare ones on this site THANK AIR REPLICAS! HARD TO FIND THE CLIPS! great gun to storm the beach with !

Beautiful replica

I'm no fan of American military firearms with the exception of the Thompson M1A1 and this M1 Carbine and that's because I owned the real McCoys and I'll defy anyone to tell me these BB guns aren't faithful copies of the originals. Shoots better than I do and the comfort level of handling and sighting this replica is outstanding. Highly recommended.
