Expected Performance: I haven't yet tested the Umarex HK USP Clear CO2 Airsoft Gun, but I anticipate it delivering around 300 FPS with .20 g airsoft BBs. Its internal hop-up system should also contribute to its accuracy. A detailed field test and shooting review will be conducted outdoors to confirm these expectations.

Construction Quality: Despite its clear plastic exterior, which might suggest lower quality, the Umarex HK USP Clear CO2 Airsoft Gun is robustly constructed. It mirrors its all-black steel BB counterpart in every aspect except for the transparent casing. Many internal components, including the barrel, breach, and chassis, are made of metal. However, the inclusion of metal components like the trigger, hammer, safety, and slide catch would have been preferable.

Authenticity: This airsoft gun is an officially licensed replica of the H&K USP automatic pistol. Apart from its transparent body and red tip, it closely resembles an authentic firearm. Although it lacks blowback functionality and a moving slide, its visual resemblance to the real USP is striking.

As I noted in my Umarex P99 Clear Plastic Spring Airsoft Pistol review, I generally prefer more traditional, metal, blowback airguns. However, clear airsoft pistols like the Umarex HK USP have their place. While its clear design distinctly separates it from real firearms, offering added safety, it maintains the look and functionality of a gun. This makes it a suitable choice for those seeking a firearm-like experience without the full realism.
